What is Compression Molding

Compression molding is a high-efficiency thermoset molding process widely used for producing silicone, EPDM and rubber parts. It forms materials by heating and pressing pre-formulated raw material into a closed mold, ideal for simple to precision elastomer components, large flat parts and low-to-high volume production. This process features lower raw material loss (2%–5%), low internal stress, small warpage and more cost-effective tooling compared with other molding methods.

Core Compression Molding Services

Rapid Compression Tooling

We provide custom compression mold tooling based on your part geometry, tool life and finish requirements. Our tooling supports rapid fabrication for fast validation, with durable molds ideal for repeated production. We offer free long-term storage for your mold assets.

Compression Molded Parts

We manufacture high-quality custom silicone and rubber compression molded parts with stable dimensional accuracy. We support various colors and a full hardness range from Shore A 20 to Shore A 85, with reliable quality and high repeatability for diversified industrial applications.

Design & Precision Control

Uniform wall thickness, proper venting and draft design ensure stable curing and reduce warpage. Material shrinkage and curing characteristics are fully considered in mold design to guarantee dimensional accuracy and part stability.

Cost & Efficiency Optimization

Compression molding offers lower tooling cost, minimal raw material waste and high productivity with multi-cavity molds. It is highly cost-efficient for large flat parts and batch production, with shorter lead time for small-batch orders.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the compression molding process?

We design and make a custom mold, heat the mold, put material into the cavity, apply high pressure and heat for curing, then take out the finished parts with stable precision.

What’s the difference between compression and injection molding?

Compression molding is better for large flat parts, lower tooling cost and less material waste. Injection molding is faster for small complex parts, while compression molding is more cost-efficient for elastomer products.

Do you have MOQ for compression molded parts?

No MOQ at all. We support 1pc prototype to mass production, with flexible pricing based on your order quantity and production needs.
